During these days of rest and relaxation, I am reflecting on all the events of this past year that has now come to an end. I relived the laughter and crying, looked back with nostalgia on some great moments, but above all, I look back at my personal goals. I don’t know how I should describe 2015. It hasn’t been explorative as in 2014, nor as hectic as 2013, and surely not as carefree as many previous years of my life. However, I realize now in retrospect that 2015 has been really special for its own reasons .It has been a year in which I understood many things, in which I experienced a lot ‘for the first time’and I’ve laid the foundations for a further evolution. Feeling optimistic and energetic, I’ve made my good year resolutions, an annual tradition for me in January. Don’t worry; I won’t list them all here, just the most general ones. Like many of you out there, I would like to do more sports, reading, travelling and sharing laughter.
I want to avoid negative people, the kind that are always plaintive and look at life as an opportunity to destroy the others. I would like to avoid every ‘waste of time’, friendships that lead to nowhere, hurting romantic relationships. The time and energy saved by that, will be invested in my big project… which I will tell you about later on, don’t worry.
Change. This word seems to have become my mantra;it will be my word of 2016. Change can be frightening, but it is the only way to make progress, to live life to the fullest, to enable you to become that person you aspire to be in your dreams. Sono more excuses, there’s no reasonwhy we should nottry toachieveincreasingly ambitious goals. The essence as always will be to dare, aiming for ambitious things. We are strong. We’re all capable of greatness, if only we want it bad enough.
And you, what are thethings you shoulddefinitely doin 2016.Is ittravelling, discovering new things, projects? Bookson the nightstand, diets, babies, new friends? It’s instructive to know what otherpeoplewant, and I’d loveto know whatyouplan to doto improve yourlife. You might bean inspiration to others.
